Case Study

The 2003 Metro Atlanta After School Program Guide for the Partnership for After School Education was produced thanks to financial resources we attained from The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. The guide lists program and contact information for over 450 metro programs and has been a resource for thousands of parents in the Atlanta area.

The production of the 2003 Metro Atlanta Guide created an awareness throughout the community of the various afterschool programs. As a result, the community is better able to support and utilize these organizations. Very similar to the directory of New York City after-school providers produced by PASE in 2001, this directory disaggregates the sites by school systems and visually displays the sites via area maps.
The directory itemizes the programs offered by each site and displays the contact information (i.e.
organizations name, address, phone number, and email address). The directory also lists if sites charge a fee for participation, if transportation is provided, and if they are open during winter, spring and summer breaks.
